Transparent gradient table background in Dreamweaver?

I want to make my table background colour fade to transparent so my background image shows through, exactly like this...

They used a photo edditing program such as photoshop,dropped the picture on top of the wood backround ,changed the opacity and faded the edges.If you do not have any program like photoshop,try the little piece of code,it will work with many types of browsers.

Use this code for the image of the table,you can change the opacity to whatever you want.You have to change the code yourself,don't make any saves until your sure you placed code correctly.

Set the opacity to 0.8 and 80 to your backround pic.
